Where lost paws can find purpose again
Here at Repurposed Paws, we create a safe space where rescues and dogs struggling with reactivity are given the chance to find their purpose again. Through personal and reward‑based training, we use each dog’s natural drive to build confidence and a good understanding of structure. Our goal is to help dogs and owners thrive together with a calm, welcoming approach built on trust and positivity.
Personal Expertise in Reactive Rescues
Our Story: Otis & Me
Inspired by a rescue, reactive Labrador.
Repurposed Paws didn’t start in a boardroom; it started with Otis. When I rescued my Labrador, Otis, I was quickly introduced to the world of reactivity. Navigating the busy streets of Stamford with a dog who found the whole world overwhelming was a steep learning curve, but it’s one that redefined my entire approach to training.
I understand first-hand the stress, the sleepless nights, and the deep love that comes with owning a reactive rescue. That’s why I’ve dedicated myself to understanding positive, reward-based training that not only helps build confidence but also, brings the owner and dog together. My goal is to use that experience to help other owners find the same bond and peace that Otis and I have worked so hard to achieve. I’m here to reassure you that with a knowledgeable, kind and patient approach (and a few treats!) your dog’s story can be one of success too.
Expertise & Philosophy
At Repurposed paws our approach is breed specific reward-based training. We work closely with rescues and working breeds that may be struggling with reactivity due to anxiety or frustration. We understand that every dog requires a tailored path to success and by combining scientific evidence with breed specific work, we tackle complex behaviours and build foundations of mutual respect that transform your dog and give them the best chance at navigating this overwhelming world.

"We were so happy with the training and support you gave Nala when she was little. You were so patient, knowledgeable and reassuring, and we saw such a positive difference in her behaviour and confidence from such a young age. I'd happily recommend you to anyone looking for a caring and professional dog trainer"

"I'd absolutely recommend Lilly at Repurposed Paws to anyone looking for support with their dog. Before we started working together, my Spaniel, Oscar, was very impulsive and struggled with both steadiness and recall. He would get easily distracted and overexcited, and getting him to focus or come back consistently when called was a real challenge.
Lilly was so patient and took the time to really understand Oscar and what motivated him. She introduced us to gundog work, which has honestly been a game changer. It has given Oscar a positive outlet for his natural instincts while teaching him important skills like self-control, focus, and steadiness.
Since working with Lilly, Oscar's recall has improved so much. He's much more responsive to me, listens better, and is far more engaged during our walks. The improvement in his steadiness has made everyday situations much easier to manage, and I've noticed a huge boost in his confidence too.
What I love most is that the training hasn't just helped during our sessions, it's had a real impact on our daily lives. Walks are now far more enjoyable and less stressful, and I feel like Oscar and I understand each other so much better. Seeing him thrive and enjoy learning has been amazing.
Lilly has been incredibly supportive throughout the whole process, and her knowledge and encouragement have made such a difference to both Oscar and me. I'm so proud of how far Oscar has come, and I'm genuinely grateful for everything Lilly has done to help us. Thank you, Repurposed Paws!

"We honestly can't thank Lilly enough for everything she has done for Luna.
Luna is a rescue dog and we've had her for six years. She's always been a lovely dog, but recall was never her strong point. If she caught sight of something interesting, she'd be off and coming back was very much on her terms! We'd almost accepted that this was just the way she was.
Since Luna started spending time with Lilly, the difference has been amazing. Her recall is now fantastic – when we call her, she comes back straight away, every time. It's something we never thought we'd be able to say. What we've noticed most is how much calmer and more settled Luna seems overall. She's more focused, listens so much better and if we ask her to stay, wait or follow a command, she does it. It's made such a difference to our walks and everyday life with her.
Lilly has a wonderful way with dogs and clearly loves what she does. Luna absolutely adores her and it's obvious how much time, patience and care Lilly has invested in helping her. As owners, there's nothing better than knowing your dog is happy, safe and thriving when they're with someone else.
We're so grateful for everything Lilly has done for Luna and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for help with their dog."
